He decides that if heaven is so great, then he should be able to go there now. This is a struggle not only of a preschooler, but also of many teens and adults who have been faced with seemly insurmountable barriers. If Heaven is so Great, Why Cant I Go - Now? is funny and insightful and fills that longing parents have to explain the difficult subjects in a not-so overwhelming way. It is a book for children, but also a great resource for parents. This message can be relayed to all ages, and reiterates the most basic concepts of why we are put on Earth. About the Author: Karen S. Petkau has been a journalist for the past twenty-three years, most recently employed at the Calgary Herald, where she is a project co-ordinator (manager/ editor/designer) of special features within Postmedia Network Inc. She is also the childrens ministry leader and a teacher at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Calgary. An avid outreach volunteer, Karen is also married with two children, two dogs and two cats. About the Illustrator: At age five, France Brassard received in her Christmas stocking a tiny picture book. It was so surprising and enchanting that since that day she had always cherished a dream of creating wonderful childrens books. After studying interior and graphic design, she worked at the Association of Illustrators of Quebec. Later, she worked as an assistant with an internationally known illustrator before becoming a freelance illustrator herself. More than twenty years later, her illustrations have made their way around the world! France lives in Quebec with her son and their Scottish terrier, Yoda.
